Socialization

Hey everyone, if you are a breeder I would like for you to post some tips for future users who may not realize how important it is to socialize your dog! Post some tips on how to achieve this process, and reasons you find it important. I think this will give a good outlook on the subject using the views of several breeders as opposed to only one. Thanks guys!

i find it best to frequent pet stores,parks...anywhere that they will have interaction with people...some nursing homes will let you bring them in....thats helpin the name of the breed and helpin your dog keep that cool temperment....hope this helps

I will say this kids, other animals are must Sherry was raised with cats i made sure she never played rough with them and she does great with them now. To curb same sex aggression never ever and i mean ever put a young puppy with a dog who is to rough or shows aggression around food ect.... Last thing i would like to add it is not all on the breeder i can socialize a puppy to a t but, if the new owner don't keep up with Socialization they just undid all my work. So remember you get a dog and a year after you got it its small animal, same sex, kid agressive don't blame the breeder right away look at what you have you done for that year.

Great post and I agree with you both. Your right it is not just the breeder who has a responsibility but also the new owners who buy that pet. Training and socialization is a lifetime process not something you do one time, and quit doing.
